Dr. Chan is a proud
sponsor of First
Book,
a non-profit organization that provides educational
support to children. First Book provides new
books to children in need, addressing one of the most
important factors affecting literacy – access to books.

Dr. Chan is also proud to participate with
Share the Care, working in
conjunction with the San Diego Dental Society in
providing quality dental care for children in need.
The Dental Health Initiative - Share the Care
is a public-private partnership between the County of
San Diego Health and Human Services Agency, the San
Diego County Dental Society, and the San Diego County
Dental Health Coalition. We have two main goals:

To provide access to emergency dental care for
children who qualify for the program.

To offer information and education to professionals,
parents, and children to foster ongoing preventive
dental care.
Serving communities of San Diego County since 1994,
Share the Care is primarily a grant-funded program. It
has received recognition for its excellence by the
American Academy of Pediatrics, the American Dental
Association, and the American Dental Hygienists'
Association.
