Dear Dr. Chan and Staff, we wanted to send you our heartfelt ‘Thanks’ for your excellent care of our daughter regarding her tongue tie and lip tie. From the first call to schedule the appointment we were impressed by the kind, supportive, professional care. All of the office staff were extremely helpful. Dr. Chan was friendly, thorough, and very knowledgeable about the procedure which helped to put our worries at ease. I’ve been taking my kids here since Dr. Jean Chan was an associate of Dr. Alan D. Murray. The staff and dentists are wonderful and they provide excellent service. They definitely cater to its pediatric clientèle. My 2 year old son (at the time) had to have his 4 front teeth extracted and thankfully they offer IV sedation, not covered, but SO worth it. They have a great jungle themed waiting room with toys and flat screen TV to entertain the little ones. TV’s in the back to distract from whatever dental procedure is being performed. They also cater to parents too! Ask about discounts that they offer. A visit to the dentist for my kids is not a traumatic one, for the most part, my kids look forward to it!

I LOVE that my Kiddo’s have such a wonderful Dentist and an amazing office & staff to come to for their dental visits! They seriously think it is such a treat to go in to have their teeth cleaned, they are always so excited when it’s time to go in and see you all! We are truly so grateful for everyone in your office- it is clear that you all recognize that you are not just working with the patient, you are involving the entire family. We believe that much of what makes a great dentist is the skill that they are trained in, but just as much as the vocational skills necessary, a huge aspect of being a great pediadontist is communication and the ability to relate to patients/families. I am a teacher at Literacy First School, which has four campuses within the city of El Cajon. Parents and teachers ask me constantly for medical/dental referrals. I will have raving reviews for you office!!
We were referred to Dr. Chan by a family member. I was a little skeptical at first since their website strongly suggests that parents wait in the lobby. I am not a parent that let’s my children go with ‘strangers’ even if it is a dentist or doctors office. Once we arrived, there was not a single mention of me waiting in the lobby. They have welcomed me to the back to accompany my daughter at every single one of her visits. They are gentle with the kids, explain thoroughly what they are going to do, and patient when the kids are scared. Dr. Chan and the staff are great. I especially love Donna who took so much time talking to my daughter and making her feel comfortable. They were buddies by the time her appointment was over.
Dr. Chan is the best pediatric dentist: thorough, nurturing/caring, patient, etc. She makes both of my kids feel very comfortable by explaining everything she will do step by step. She also explains all the options/recommendations professionally and clearly. I refer all my friends to Dr. Chan and everyone has been overwhelmingly happy with Dr. Chan and her staff.
I took my 22 month son here for his first dental appointment. It went great! You can tell that the staff is very experienced with young children. They demonstrate on stuffed animals, meanwhile, talking my son and us through the whole process. The dentist was also great. She gave us a great tutorial on our dental hygiene routine. Couldn’t recommend them more!
Such a GREAT Dentist!! i have gone here since i could remember!! Staff is kind and respectful! if you have anxiety about anything staff is understanding!! seriously the best dentist ever! Dr. Chan is such a sweet lady!!:) She is very educated (UC Berkley) graduate!!:) GO BeArs!! she is great with customers and sweet to the kids!! unless you don’t know how to use a key the bathrooms are easy to find! so if your kids have to pee then walk two steps around the corner!! overall a great place to have your teeth worked on!!;)!
Dr. Chan is an amazing pediatric dentist. I have taken all 3 of my children here starting at age 1, and they LOVE going! The office is very nice, with an adorable jungle theme and lots of things to distract the children. The hygienists are very sweet and good with the children…even squirmy 1 year olds! Dr. Chan is also very sweet and helps keep the children comfortable and happy.
I just love going to dr. chan’s office. dr chan is very sweet, gentle, and so are the staff. my son always has the best time when he goes to get his teeth clean. they have a really big office the waiting is just the cutest thing i think it’s a jungle theme. they have a really cool bench in the kids playing area that looks like a molar. highly recommend your kids would love it there. overall very kid friendly.
The month of November is the perfect time to take a moment to express my heartfelt thanks to all of you. I am very grateful for your gentle care and kindness that have helped my son to have such a positive dental care experience. Thank you for the extra special way each of you make Jake’s dental visits so much fun for him that he leaves your office asking me when he gets to come back! I saw Alyssa this afternoon and we did a pre weight prior to breastfeeding and a post weight and she took in 2 1/2 oz from moms breast. We did some adjustments to the latch and mom was able to feed without pain. What a huge success! No more tears from mom!!!! I also went through the exercises that you wanted her to do as well as my own suck exercises. I will be following up once again tomorrow to make sure everything stays on track! Michelle was very happy with you and your staff and was appreciative of your follow up phone call to check on them. I look forward to working together again.
